During the past weekend I've got the chance to "live" see the Blade 2012.
Well, the "flashy" orange colour is much better than what it appears on pics. The sail in the water is one of the most recognizable (together with black .7).Building quality is very high and details are unreal.Uphauled the 8,6 on the floor. Not sure the "static" weight is low but not higher than others. No wrinkles around, good seam shape downlow and quite opened middle leech.Rigged on Loft SDM cam rotation was super easy as well as rigging (and derigging) operation.
Unfortunately no chance to test it on the water (we were racing all day long and in the end the wind died) but Hofmann looked as fast as other top dogs.He reported that the sail was balanced in the hands, soft yet powerfull.Note that it was off shore wind gusting (first elimination) 20-25 kts and he sailed the 8,6 (as well as Iachino,Reucher,Ferin).Hey,don't get me wrong, after that they all ran ashore to switch down for a more comfy 7,8...
Anyway.Hope to post my feedback as soon as I get the sails.
