"A new fin box system has arrived- thanks to Fabien Vollenweider the multi fin board world will be a better place!
What is it? A super light and functional finbox system allowing for slight adjustments and a huge weight savings over conventional boxes. The new Slot Box uses two side screws to lock the fin in place. Once tightened, the fins will not move. The screw heads are the same as your footstrap screws so no additional tools are required, you can make easy adjustments and dial in the setting that works best for your conditions.
Advantages: Weight, weight and strength! That is right, less weight and more strength. A normal box is in the 300 gram range while the new Slot Box comes in at less than 80 grams. With the new multi fin boards, 4 boxes add up to a lot of weight and this weight savings is very welcomed.
Are my old fins useless? Absolutely not - The Slot Box system allows for your old fins to fit right in. Take out the pin and trim down the base and you can use your old trusty fins for years to come.
After 2 years of developing a new finbox system for Tabou’s multi fin boards, Fabien gave the rights to any and all brands to use this system free of charge. “I believe this is the best system to use for multi fin boards- it is simple, light, strong and proven. If every brand has to come up with their own design, everybody will suffer- fin manufacturers and mostly the consumer! This new system will enable a huge revolution to the way windsurfing boards perform and adapt to different conditions. Pour les couleurs, il y a peut-être des différences entre les versions, Manta Pro-TE, Manta, et Manta FR

Non......le shape ne change pas en 2011 pour la 75, qui a été introduite dans la gamme en 2010.....enfin je croisfalcon007 a écrit :Le shape change ou pas ?
Mais pour ceux qui recherchent la perfomance ultime, les 65/69/75/79/85 sortiront qu'en Pro-TE.
La différence avec celles de ma photo......est une Manta avec la nouvelle déco 2011 mais sur la finition haut de gamme des Manta de l'année dernière: Le prix = 1699€........Mais attention ceci est une série limitée et exclusive à Surf Avenue Rennes.....au prix de 1399€
La TE sortira à 1899€.

Nouveau shape pour les Manta 69 et 79 :
"La toute nouvelle Manta 69 a plus de puissance à l’arrière, et une ligne de rocker plus haute pour plus de vitesse de pointe. Elle a une forme en biseau autour de la partie concave avant pour donner une accélération instantanée. Un rail plus plein pour sortir des virages plus rapidement et plus facilement. La “signature” Tabou avec un double concave sur la partie avant pour fendre les eaux tumultueuses et avoir une navigation très douce. La Manta 79 a été redessinée et a pris quelques succès de la planche de Formula Gaastra Vapor – un double concave plus profond sur la partie avant pour augmenter la vitesse dans le clapot. Comme la 69 un rail plus plein et des découpes à l’arrière pour permettre à la large queue de laisser la planche voler."
