Présentation rapide de la Machine M-1 9.4 par lao shi :

Not a review but did get to have a good look at the 9.4 before Peter went out testing this morning at Pt Walter.
First the weight. Felt incredibly light for a 9+m sail. Admittedly Peter said it was also on a lightweight mast but still very light.
When you look at the fibres you can see the 3D shape that they give to the sail.
The fibres and laminate run over either side of the battens so the pocket is within the sail.
Very deep shape low down with the sail almost touching a deep course maui sails boom in front of the front harness fixing!
Unfortunately the wind dropped out so only got to see it planing on a couple of runs.
Certainly an interesting design and would like to try one in a smaller size.

A priori la garantie serait de 12 mois :

Finian et Peter sur les spots du Sud de la France la semaine prochaine !

4th of March, 2012 :

After a winter of 'training' around buoys or doing endurance sailing runs, the time has now come to get on the water with all of the new equipment and find the right tunings to be prepared for the upcoming PWA slalom in Reggio Calabria, Italy starting on April 19th.

Peter and Finian are planning to start in strong wind courtesy of the South of France and move to lighter wind locations to get the full spectrum of testing done.

Keep tuned on this site as from this day forward we will bring you regular updates on our progress and further information about tuning the sails and masts to get the best performance from our rigs.
