Les ailerons Vector Fins Maui, Slalom et Speed : http://vectorfins.com/ et http://www.vectorfins.com.au

Vector Canefire Slalom : G-10, 32 à 55cm :

The standard for slalom racing. Fast and stable with exceptional control. Superb upwind and early planing performance.

Image

Vector EX Slalom Fin : 24 à 38 cm :

This fin was designed for the roughwater, highwind Maui Slalom Series and has been used for speed series all over the world. It has a curved leading edge with some tip sweep. Recorded 43 knots on Mauis rough open ocean conditions.

Vector Rockit Slalom Fin : 26 à 42 cm :

This solid winner utilizes straight lines and a bit more power in the tip. It has more upwind ability than the EX but is still extremely fast off the wind.

Speed Raven :

Delta Speed : 19-27cm :

Speed and control. Delta Speed is a master piece of work and has proven to take the speed potential of any riders to the next level. With is unuige design of looking somthing like a “shark fin” it stands out from the crowd.
I don’t take many speed runs to figure out why they are so popular and in high demand for speed sailors world over. Aggressively raked back for board control. Really wide base section for max push / drive without never letting go..Refined foil section profiles developed for high speed. Board control is at maximum at all times as those fins don’t lift your board nose out of the water when hitting the gust. You can just keep pushing the top end speed endless. Compared to a normal pointer fin you will need to sail 3-4cm shorter as Delta will deliver the same power. Slalom sailors has even been seen using those fins for their amazing control and top speed potential. It’s all about speed – look no further…

Delta Speed Weed : 19-27cm :

The name says it all!. High performing Speed fins that will ensure not to catch weed on the speed run. Many places with shallow water there is weed and the last thing you want is to crash in full speed sailing into it. Delta Speed Weed is he answer for those conditions…

Vector Volt : G-10, 28 à 56cm :

New for 2011!. Lots of development and testing has gone into the Volt Slalom fins. Those fins will make your board handling a breeze and increase your speed potential. Made for “full on” slalom boards and again tested by PWA slalom sailors on different boards over a long period of time. Drive and acceleration comes from the width in the base, then a moderate flex and slightly swept back profile gives you the control in even the most demanding conditions. Upwind, half wind and downwind. Those fins is developed for racing with max pressure on the fin at all times…will perform in any conditions.

Vector Fins Carbon v.s. G10. What is the difference?

The carbon... fins provide a more controlled lift, more steady power.
The Carbon fins have power under the feets, but less lift than the G10. So the G10 will lift a little more when hitting gusts.
The more controlled lift works great when using the carbon fin as largest size fin on your board.
Extending range and perfect for races to be planing first and keeping control in the gusts.

Sizing : based on 2011 X-fires of Jesper Orth :

135 = 48 Vector Fins Canefire
122 = 44, 42 Vector Fins Canefire
112 = 40, 38 Vector Fins Canefire
102 = 36, 34 Vector Fins Canefire and 32, 30 Rockit
90 = Vector Fins 32, 30 Rockit
80 = Vector Fins 28, 30 Rockit

Fans of the Vector Fins Volt can you also use the Volt in all sizes.

Jesper, Vector Fins for high wind rough water : http://www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Wind ... er/?page=2 -

Rockit, Canefire, EX, Volt :
Image

Rockit : This is one of longest running Vector designs. Simple outline that deliver a "all - round" performance for all conditions. Excellent control and top end speed as pointed out by other riders on this forum thread. Will fit most boards. Modern as old style. We mostly recommend 28cm - 38cm sizes.

Canefire : Got a lot of development when the boards started to get wider and shorter. The straight leading edge and positive curved trailing edge together with the slightly wider tip section, making sure to deliver a lifty fin, that will get the wider tail boards up and going. Great for flatter to small choppy water conditions. Great on the upwind performance. We mostly recommend 34cm - 46cm.

EX : This is the fins with the most control. It will keep the nose of the board down. Will work great for lighter riders as well or sailors that want to keep the board very flat and sailing mostly down wind. The fin is more swept back for control. Also "older style" slalom boards with a narrower tail will like those fins. We mostly recommend 28cm -36cm sizes.

Volt : This is our newer design developed for PWA slalom. We recommend all sizes from 28cm - 48cm. The wider base section will deliver acceleration and grip. The slightly swept back profile will keep you board in control at top speed. Concave in the trailing edge makes them very slippery through the water. For racing, acceleration, jibing, top end speed and control, those fins are a winner. We recommend all sizes from 28cm - 48cm. Sizes from 40cm and up is a tuned up design that deliver stiffness comparable with some carbon fins.

The above is a guide line. Factors as sailor level, boards, sails, rider weight / size and sailing conditions all plays in when choosing the right fin.
