Bad luck for Estredo

We have received the unfortunate news that four times world freestyle champion Jose ‘Gollito’ Estredo is out of action.

Disaster has struck for the Venezuelan freestyle king Jose ‘Gollito’ Estredo (Fanatic / North) as he is off the water for the next two months following a bad shaka crash. Estredo has been training hard for the last few months in the windsurfing mecca of Jericoacoara in Brazil. However over the weekend, Estredo suffered an injury to his wrist as he slipped and hit the sand mid shaka. As Jericoacoara is a remote fishing village hours away from the nearest city, Estredo had to wait eleven excruciating hours in the hospital waiting to have his hand looked at.

Estredo has been particularly focused and training as much as possible over the last few months to come back to the 2012 season with full force. We have heard Estredo has been learning loads of new and unseen moves, we are sure he will bounce back from his injury and will return stronger than ever.

From all of us at the PWA we wish Estredo a speedy recovery and look forward to see him on the water as soon as possible.

De mauvaises nouvelles d'Andre Paskowski qui va subir vendredi une nouvelle intervention chirurgicale suite à la découverte d'une métastase dans son poumon droit :

Life‘s a rollercoaster – and full of ups and downs. While the Minds Wide Open Movie‘s delivered awesome feedback and happy faces my latest test results in Hospital were not so successful. The doctors found a newly developed Metasthase in my right lung.

... ... Actually, to be honest it was 7 weeks ago that I was informed of a some ‘abnormal‘ blood results and so left quickly for Brazil to get have some of the greatestt fun in the last 18 months.

More tests and scans on my return to Hamburg brought up this new development.
On Friday I will have a Operation after which I’m hopefully going to finally get a clean new start.

On the othermore positive side, since we started shipping Minds Wide Open I’ve received some beautiful feedback from all around the world. It is amazing to read all the comments and emails. I want to thank each and every person for their messages. This is why I started making movies. To give people a great time and hear them stoked. For sure this will help in the upcoming hospital time as well.
