Alain De Gendt : Even more wind then yesterday, a part of the canal is covered with a sandcarpet due to the ongoing sandstorm. They forecasted less wind but I think were at 55-60+ kts. Patrik wanted to try with a Loft Blade 5.6 but got simply blown of his feet while his brother was trying to connect the sail to his board. Remo ended up getting a kiss from the mast. And this was still in the partly windcovered starting area!!!! Complete madness, our 20 foot steal container is rocking during the gusts! all of this under a sunny sky ofcourse. They said it will be less windy tomorrow,....I home so. Greetz B-33

Wind : more or less 20 kts. Some riders are testing the channel. Even if the conditions are really light we have recorded 2 Records in Kitesurfing so far:
- Roger Ornvang from Sweden: 34.51 kts
- Ole Kjaer from Denmark: 36.31 kts beating Peter Petersen who did 34.92 kts in WalvisBay-Namibia in 2004.

Vu les prevs, il ne se passera pas grand chose avant vendredi...

Luderitz Speed Challenge – Day 1 – 7 Octobre 2013

2ème temps aujourd’hui avec un Run à 41,71 Nds (VMax à 48,44). Vent faible, 20-25 nds et rafales à 30.
Je n’avais qu’une 9,8, les autres étaient en 12 ou 14…..Et les pauvres Windsurfeurs, impossible de planer. Mon ami Gauthier est resté au bord du Canal tout l’après-midi.
Sinon, bonnes sensations et bien récupéré du voyage (36h), et le physique va plutôt bien pour l’instant.
Dans l’attente du vent fort pour faire fumer le Run… !
