King Fins Slalom EVO2 2014 : http://www.king-fins.com/slalom_fins_2014.html -
King slalom fin model SL EVO II. is a powerful all-around fin designed to win races. Each fin is produced with love and precision to offer the best quality for everyone. The fin accelerates fast and feels light and dragless under the board. It lifts the board effortless above the water to reach high speeds.
The main objective when designing a foil and a planform is to maximize the lift for a given area and to minimize the drag, setting the correct rake angle and stiffness. Fiber type and fiber orientation are optimized for each fin size to maximize the torsional strength and allow dynamic bending to stabilize the board in choppy waters. Under pressure fin delivers controlled vertical lift to reduce the wetted surface of the board.
LENGTH
King EVO II. SL is available (even numbers) in a range 30-56 cm (increment of 2 cm). By request, odd lengths (31, 33-51 cm) can be ordered.
STIFFNESS
The stiffness is controlled with fiber orientation, length and fiber volume ratio. For every fin, we lay fibers to allow the fin to flex. To increase the stability and control, the fiber layup enable complete constraint of torsional deformations during surfing.
We produce three stiffnesses:
soft S (high wind)
extra soft S - (all around)
extra-extra soft S - - (low wind)
PRICE
30-32, Tuttle, 220 €
34-36, Tuttle, 240 €
38-42, Tuttle, 250 €
44-46, Deep tuttle, 260 €
48-54, Deep tuttle, 280 €
